Instagram is not like any other social media platform. You can just post the content and link out to your website to get traffic from your followers. It’s different.

Use your Instagram followers as your custom audience for your ads.
When you have followers remember they like you, they are loyal towards you assuming that you don’t have fake followers which you shouldn’t do because, in the long run, it is going to hurt you. Assuming that you have quality followers you can use them to create a lookalike audience. This will help you in attracting other followers. The bigger follower base you have will help you to monetize in the future easily. But think of your followers as a well, look would you rather go to buy a bottle and pay every time you need a new bottle of water when you are thirsty or you can build up your own well so every time you are thirsty you can go down there,
take a bucket and get water for free. I agree you may have the upfront cost but that’s the whole purpose of building a wall. The same applies to your Instagram followers. By using a lookalike audience, building up a more follower base, but keep in mind that you are building that well that you can keep taping in the future and even more to generate sales.
Start posting IGTV videos. Instagram usually wants users on IGTV. So if you have a video post it on IGTV. It will get you more views and engagement. So what I want you to do is not just create a video for the sake of it, your video should be educational and related to your product or service. When you add both of these in your videos not only people are going to watch because you are giving them advice and tips that are going to help them but you will also start generating sales due to the fact that you are talking about your services or product.
The next thing I want you to do is to leverage stories. I love stories more than anything else because when you use stories you tell people to swipe up. When they swipe up you can drive them to your website.
It is a great way to get people to your website. Remember it is very difficult to convert into a customer when they are still on Instagram.
They need to go from Instagram to your website and check out. If they are not going to your website then they are not going to generate any sales. Hence use stories to tell the peoples to swipe up. It is very simple and it works also and even if you do an animated GIF to tell the people to swipe up it is much more effective. You can also combine both text and GIF to tell the people to swipe up.
Another thing that Instagram loves is live content video. If you are doing a live session on Instagram and people are asking queries and you are responding assuming that your live video is super engaging and helpful. You are solving queries and can generate sales on the same. You can also ask them to join a webinar, along with selling your product or service. In short live videos are great. When you are going live all your followers are notified and they are excited to join you. Instagram wants people on their app 24/7. That’s why live videos are great.
Invest in those content that generates traction. Look when you post content what you will find is some are doing good while some not.
I want you to start doing an experiment with your content. If you have a video cut its small pieces and start uploading it on Instagram, take some quotes put it on Instagram, take a photo put it on Instagram. Start seeing which piece of content is doing well. When you figure out which piece of content is doing well start pushing that content and throw the rest of the content that doesn’t do well.
Create that type of content that generates engagement and interaction with your followers. For example, put up pictures on Instagram and tell people to double-tap if they agree. When they are double-tapping I’m getting more likes, and by doing this my photo is more likely to go viral. It’s an easy and great way to get more engagement. Look when people are looking at your photo or video they are going to like it and this creates engagement. Remember when someone engages with you and they are responding they are helping you out and then they sell you their product or service. Do you think you would be more likely to buy it? Look a random person comes to you and says buy a product from me. Are you going to buy it for him? Of course not. You are more likely to ignore that person. The moment someone builds a relationship and then asks you to buy then you are more likely to buy it. That’s why it is super most important to engage with the peoples. Without engagement, it’s hard to convert those followers into customers.
